Coil Springs . . .
I get calls for Coil Springs all the time, however I do not sell them and here are the reasons why . . . .
Front Springs:
It is virtually impossible to purchase a front spring set and have it the exact height every customer desires right out of the box. Therefore you have to install them (Check Height) remove them, cut them and re-install them. That’s a pain in the butt and very frustrating. And if you don’t get the height you want the 1st time, you have to repeat this process until you get the desired height. This is a very frustrating process as front springs are not easy to install. Anyone that has installed and removed front coil springs will understand what I’m talking about.
Rear Springs:
Rear springs cannot be cut so you have to get the right spring. If you don’t pick the correct one, you have to return that set and purchase another set in hopes that it will have the correct height you desire. They’re easier to install than the front springs but you may have the hassle and cost of returning them.
The other problem to selling springs is not every customer agrees on the correct or desired ride height. This is personal preference making the process of selling springs even tougher.
With all that being said, this is a frustration that most customers will go through and I don’t care to have frustrated customers, so I shy away from selling Coil Springs. My recommendation is to purchase from a dealer that specializes in springs. This may help limit the amount of purchases and returns.
